Our Cambridge deliveries operate on scheduled, consolidated routes with limited capacity governed by our chilled transit equipment. Once a route reaches capacity, orders for that date strictly close.

The Baking Jin began in Cambridge, where founder Jin first built a loyal following for his signature chiffon cakes, fresh cream cakes and East Asian-inspired desserts. After winning the Cambridge Bake Off, what started as a small baking venture grew into a business serving customers across Cambridge and beyond.
While our kitchen is now based in Suffolk, Cambridge remains an important part of our story and we continue to create cakes for many of our long-standing Cambridge cake lovers.
❄️ Our Freshness Promise for the Journey: Because our chiffon cakes are light and decorated with fresh dairy cream, we take extra care on the road. All Cambridge orders are hand-packed into heavy-duty insulated cool boxes with ice packs for the trip from Suffolk. Your cake is guaranteed to arrive in pristine condition, perfectly chilled, fresh, and ready straight for your fridge!

Planning a gathering, wedding, or celebration in Cambridge? For commissions of three or more cakes, we offer dedicated private courier delivery outside our standard dates, subject to studio diary scheduling.

Our consolidated delivery runs ensure sustainable logistics and pristine cake condition.

Notice Period: Minimum 7 business days’ notice required. Dates operate on a first-confirmed basis and close as soon as transit capacity is reached.

Late Route Availability: Passed the cutoff date? If a confirmed Cambridge run has remaining chilled transit capacity, we occasionally release late-booking spaces for our signature menu cakes. Enquire directly to check current vehicle availability.

Minimum Order: £35 (excluding delivery fee).

If our scheduled Cambridge date doesn't match your celebration, you are warmly invited to collect directly from our private Suffolk studio in Owl's Green.

The Perfect Country Pairing: Our studio is a natural, scenic stop on the way back to Cambridge from weekend visits to Southwold, Aldeburgh, Snape Maltings, or Woodbridge.

Journey-Ready Packaging: Every cake is chilled to core temperature and securely boxed. For journeys over 20 minutes, please bring an insulated cool box with ice packs, or add one of our insulated studio transport bags to your order.
