Yes – That Was Me on BBC One! 🎉

If you spotted a familiar face on a tiny segment of Escape to the Country this week… yes, that was me!

It was such a joy to be part of Series 25, Episode 52, which aired on BBC One on 19 May 2025. I had a lovely time filming in our Suffolk kitchen, and it was a real honour to share a little of my baking journey — especially the chance to introduce Pandan Chiffon Cake to a wider audience!

A big thank you to the production team for making me feel so confortable during filming day (especially as a first-timer on TV!), and to the wonderful Briony May Williams, Bake Off star and presenter, who baked alongside me — it was truly one of the highlights of my year.

At The Baking Jin, I’ve always wanted to bring a little taste of Malaysia, Asia, and the Far East to Suffolk, and I hope this episode gave you a sweet glimpse of what we do.
